First public show in Medellin

Our students in Medellín, Colombia (a project started in May 2019 by Mohith and now being lead by local magician Ricardo Montoya) did their first theater show, for an audience of 200 + in a theater. The kids did an amazing performance! We are so happy that this project continues in the great hands of Ricardo Montoya. The power of sharing your secrets

Colombia’s young magicians at TEDxCESA

We could have not been more proud of the young magicians of Bogotá, Colombia, the kids of the Colombian chapter got another once in a life time experience. To be the performing act in TEDxCESA. TEDxCESA was held in one of Colombia’s most elite universities, with the tag line “actions that transform lives“. That is why the magic club from the slums of Bogotá got invited to perform, because the actions of teaching this young kids magic, has truly transformed their lives. They did an 18 minute presentation and got a long long standing ovation!! It was amazing!

Christmas is for giving back

It’s very important for us at Magicians Without Borders to use magic as a tool to inspire hope. We think it is working, as these two acts of giving back came from the kids of the magic club in Bogota, Colombia. First, they went to do a volunteer show (on their own, without their magic teachers) at an elderly home for low income grandparents called Juan Pablo Segundo, the kids went, kept them company, shared some time and amazed them with a magic show.
