The 2020 results of our Colombian chapter and LATAM milestones

On February 6th our LATAM headquarters did their annual meeting to share their achievements of 2020 and some goals for 2021, its the first time that this meeting was done virtually, so it got transmitted live via YouTube, and for the first time we got to see interactions from our teachers from Colombia and El Salvador in an annual meeting and we all can see it. Unveiling of Magicians Associations during Keynote Speech in Costa Rica.

We had the honor to be the key note speech during the 2nd day of the World Meeting Forum Sustainable Edition in Costa Rica, on an amazing location, San Jose’s beautiful Convention Center. Broken Wand, this is what magicians say when someone close to magic dies. Last month we said fare well to Charles Gohmann, founder of Magicians Without Borders Costa Rica. A person we feel as part of the family. I met Charles at a wonderful event near the sea and the Costa Rican jungle, camping together with 100 people, listening to supremely inspiring stories. Costa Rica Students performed at The Retreat from Vanishing INC

We are so excited to share that our students from the Costa Rica program with our local Head Magician Diego Vargas got to perform for over 30 magicians at The Retreat by Vanishing INC. It was a once in a lifetime experience to share with those 30 magicians among them Dani DaOrtiz, Daniel Garcia, Paul Vigil, Ben Earl, Rune Klan, Joshua Jay, Andi Gladwin and others. We are very grateful to Josh and Andy for letting us live this experience, we are sure that this experience will live forever in the kids memories.

New Yale + MWB Collaboration

Lil, a theater Yale student is in our project in Costa Rica for 3 months to lead a theater workshop for our magic students and other students of our local partner La Cometa. We are thrilled to have a new Yale + MWB Collaboration going on in Costa Rica. This training for our students will be an invaluable experience and will for sure take their performing skills to a whole new level! Thanks Yale! Thanks Lil!!

Official Launch – Magicians Without Borders Costa Rica

On May 17th 2018, we did our first official launch for an education program in a Latin american country. It was to conmemorate our legal status in Costa Rica, from now own the foundation: Magos Sin Fronteras Costa Rica is now open for social change in the country! Plus we launch a website: cr.magossinfronteras.org We did the launch on the traditional cinema called Cine Magaly, in a VIP movie room for 70 people.
