Colombia’s Education Chapter Wins Prestigious Seed Capital Award
In a remarkable achievement for innovative educational initiatives, Magicians Without Borders’ Colombian Education Chapter, led by our alumni Tamara Jimenez, has been awarded a significant seed capital prize of 5 million colombian pesos. The award was presented at a grand ceremony attended by over 15,000 people, marking a milestone in the organization’s journey toward sustainable education through magic.
The prize comes as part of a highly competitive entrepreneurship contest that saw more than 1,200 business proposals from various innovative startups and social enterprises. The rigorous selection process involved multiple rounds of evaluation, with expert panels narrowing down the contestants to a select group of finalists.
The final judgment was conducted by a distinguished panel of experts, including representatives from:

- Postobón
- Sustainability specialists
- Biz Nation
Magicians Without Borders’ unique approach to combining sustainability initiatives with magic-based education caught the attention of the judges, showcasing the organization’s potential for creating meaningful social impact. The award, sponsored by Postobón, a company known for its commitment to sustainable entrepreneurship, will provide crucial seed funding to expand the organization’s educational programs.
This recognition validates our innovative approach to education and sustainability. The prize was shared with another innovative venture, Aquatech Solutions, which also received 5 million pesos for their entrepreneurial initiative.
This seed capital is expected to help Magicians Without Borders’ Colombian Education Chapter expand its reach and enhance its programs, continuing to make education magical and sustainable for communities in need.
